The Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) has announced the 2018 winners of the New Voice Scholarship Awards, which aim to recognise and support emerging voices in educational leadership across Australia.
The initiative, now its fourth year, saw 20 recipients receive scholarships across four educational leadership categories: Educational Leadership, Educational Research, Indigenous Educational Leadership and Early Education and Care.
“On behalf of The Australian Council for Educational Leaders, our board, members and staff, we would like to officially recognise and congratulate our talented New Voice Scholarship Winners for 2018. The New Voice Scholarship program is a shining light within our portfolio and demonstrates our commitment to identify new voices across the sector and provide them with opportunities to both learn and contribute to the profession,” said Aasha Murthy, ACEL CEO.
“As an organisation, we are honoured to welcome the Class of 2018 and look forward to engaging with them over the coming months. The New Voice Alumni network continues to grow.”
Each scholarship welcomes the recipient into the ACEL network and supports the dissemination of new learning and thought. They also receive complimentary attendance at the 2018 ACEL National Conference in Melbourne, where the official presentation of the New Voice Awards will take place as part of the ACEL National Awards Ceremony on 4 October 2018.
