The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is now recruiting everyday Queenslanders to work as invigilators observing Year 12 exams at schools around the state, from late October to mid-November 2023.
Invigilators play an important role in promoting public confidence in the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) system and ensuring that proper and fair administrative procedures are implemented. The invigilator role is independent; they are appointed to supervise proper administration of the assessments, not to supervise students or assist with any administration or assessment set-up tasks.
These paid positions would appeal to anyone who is looking for casual work during school hours and is keen to support their local school community.
Paid training is also provided, so no prior experience is required — applicants just need to be over 18, eligible to work in Australia and have a current paid Blue card, exemption card or Queensland College of Teachers registration.
Find out more and apply via the QCAA website.
