Anna Caro, Principal at Lithgow High School in NSW, discusses the high levels of unemployment in the area, and the high levels of mental health issues – particularly anxiety – at the school.
Lithgow High School has worked with the local council to develop a Wellbeing Hub within the school grounds, where students are supported with up to 14 different services including occupational therapists, mental health services and social workers. By offering these services at school, they have become more accessible to the students that need them most.
