Giewee Hammond, Lead Data Scientist for Aramco Services, discusses the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) education and why we shouldn’t just be trying to increase STEM education only for girls, but for boys too.

She founded the Liberia-based NGO Wahjay-STEM, bringing STEM to Liberian students.

According to Ms Hammond, both boys and girls need STEM education. She discusses the lack of funding for co-ed STEM education programs, and the impact this can have, particularly in disadvantaged communities and developing countries.
